Dogs really do love their naps. While people usually get by with 7–8 hours of sleep, most dogs snooze for up to 14 hours a day. And some pups, like Olli, simply aren’t ready to let nap time end — even if it means dragging their bed along for the ride.
Meet Olli, the Bed-Loving Pup
Olli is a five-year-old Shih Tzu–Maltese mix who takes his sleep very seriously. His owner shared a funny video that quickly went viral: Olli had just been woken up a little too soon, and instead of giving up on his nap, he made a plan.
The clip shows Olli walking through the house with his small dog bed balanced on top of his head. A text on the video reads:
“POV: You just woke up, but your dog isn’t done sleeping, so he drags the bed into the living room.”
Once Olli reached the living room, he gave a big shake that sent the bed flying off — then he settled down, ready to get cozy again.
According to his owner, this isn’t unusual. Olli doesn’t go anywhere without his bed. Whether he’s napping, following family members around, or just hanging out, his favorite spot is always close by — even if he has to carry it himself.
People Loved It
The internet, of course, couldn’t get enough of Olli’s determination. Comments rolled in, with people joking about how relatable his love of sleep is.
- One person wrote, “Nap can hit anytime.”
- Another asked, “Does he also hide snacks in the bed for bad days?”
- Many laughed at his dramatic head shake, with one fan saying, “The head thrash! I love when they do that.”
The comment that probably summed it up best was:
“He’s like, ‘If you don’t need me here, I’ll just continue my life elsewhere.’”
Lesson From Olli
Olli’s little adventure is a reminder of how much joy dogs bring to everyday life. Sometimes, you just need to grab your favorite spot, move it somewhere better, and keep on napping.
For Olli, a good nap is always worth the effort — even if it means carrying an entire bed across the house.
